Barefoot Wine Makes Donation to Invest in Black Women-Owned Beauty Businesses

Barefoot Wine is proud to make a donation to New Voices Foundation to invest in Black women-owned beauty businesses that provide spaces, retail products, and services that center, celebrate and uplift Black women.
This donation is part of Barefoot‘s launch of #WeStanForHer — a platform to highlight the collective beauty of Black women through original content, conversations and community partnership. #WeStanForHer also seeks to acknowledge the roles that beauty routines play in self-care and promoting economic equity in the Black community.

In partnership with New Voices, Barefoot Wine will launch two grant programs for Black women-owned beauty companies:

  • New Voices + Barefoot Hair Salon COVID-19 Business Recovery Microgrants will provide 25 grants of $1,000 each for business recovery assistance for Black women-owned hair salons affected by the recent shutdowns. Apply HERE for the Hair Salon COVID-19 Business Recovery Grant.
  • New Voices + Barefoot Beauty Business Grants will provide five grants of $10,000 each to beauty businesses to acknowledge and celebrate their role in highlighting the beauty of Black women. The grants also include business coaching and mentoring for the five grantee companies. Qualifying beauty businesses include but are not limited to: Beauty Products and Toiletries, Skincare, Cosmetics, and Hair Tools and Instruments.
